Engagement portraits can be used for save the date cards, guest book photos, or just as a reminder of the day you said "yes"! You may not have heard of either the Trash The Dress, or After The Big Day Sessions, and that's ok. Many people haven't! These sessions take place days, weeks, or even months after your wedding day. When all of the chaos has settled, and you are ready for more photos.
An After The Big Day Session is a more artistic session for the bride and groom. You choose a location that may not have been easy to get to, or too far away on the day of your wedding. Or, maybe it was raining and you couldn't get those outdoor photos you dreamed of. That is when you set a day up for just photos. The bride gets to dress up again, the groom puts on a suit, or rents a tux again. You can even get the bridal party involved in this session if you want to.
A Trash The Dress Session is definitely more artistic. This is when you are not planning to preserve your dress and want to have some fun with it. Have a place where you want to get it wet? Get it dirty? Maybe you just want to go somewhere where you know it is going to get snagged or torn. It is just a fun session that can even include the groom. Trash The Dress Sessions are even becoming popular with High School Seniors wearing their prom dresses. Your bridesmaids may want to have fun with those lovely dresses you picked out too.
No matter which session you choose, it is all about having fun.
You may choose to have your portraits outdoors or in your own home. You may choose any park, or even your own backyard. There are several locations all over Indianapolis that work well for any of these portrait sessions. If you are unsure, just ask and Erricka can suggest a location for you, or check out our affiliates page! Some locations may require a small mileage fee.
You may choose to meet with Erricka prior to your session to discuss your options. Free consultation is included in all sessions.
All photos will be edited and posted online in a password-protected album for you to view and order. Basic editing includes color correction, black & white, old photo/sepia toning, and some selective coloring.
